“Problems are a part of life. So are solutions… Having problems does not mean our Higher Power is picking on us.” – The Language of Letting Go
I used to think God was up above me, looking down and directing everything, kind of like a traffic cop. He would help some people and ignore others. Sometimes he would punish people – like me – that didn’t deserve it. This allowed me to be angry at God when it was convenient to place blame somewhere. But my new concept of God doesn’t allow me the room to think that way. That’s because my new and improved God is simply Concentrated Goodness. Now, when something “bad” happens, there’s no way for me to blame on the source of all goodness. Instead, when a problem arises, I try my best to handle it, seek help if available, and let it go if I can’t resolve it. Afterwards I jump back into the attitude of gratitude, which instantly reminds me that ILML!
